Event description

Learn scratch art with Cassandra Hodgins! 

Over this 2 hour session participants will learn how to create beautiful artworks on scraper board, a white clay substrate covered in black carbon ink. 

The process involves scratching away the black ink to create artworks using various techniques and tonal values.  Participants will practice mark making with scratching tools and talk about what items at home can be used as scratching implements.  Together with Cassandra Hodgins, we will discuss the use of tone to create form and transferring your image to the board.

All materials provided. Suitable for ages 12+.
