Screen NSW Gathering Ground with Kirra Homer and Rowdie Walden

Screen NSW invites you to Gathering Ground, an initiative for NSW First Nations practitioners working across screen and digital games to develop their skills, network and talent.  

The next session will feature Kirra Homer, Development Manager at ABC Indigenous and Rowdie Walden, Executive Producer at ABC Entertainment.

Kirra's work spans production, development and original content creation at ABC Indigenous, overseeing projects including Mystery Road: Origins, Goolagong and End Game with Tony Armstrong while championing new First Nations stories and talent. 

Rowdie is an award-winning television executive with extensive experience across entertainment, comedy and live event programming at the ABC. His executive producer credits include That Blackfella Show (2025, 2026), Gruen Season 18, Spicks & Specks, Urzila, Always Was Tonight, the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras broadcasts, ABC’s New Year’s Eve coverage, and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala and Allstars Supershow.

The session is an invaluable opportunity to connect with established First Nations industry leaders, fostering knowledge sharing, meaningful connections, and insights to support the growth and development of NSW First Nations practitioners in the industry.
