Screen NSW is holding a monthly webinar series to help demystify market partners and support mid-level creatives and producers to feel more confident to create and pitch projects.

Joining us at this month is Sarah Christie, Head of Local Originals for Australia and New Zealand at Amazon MGM Studios. We’ll be discussing Prime Video’s local slate across scripted and unscripted, what kind of projects the team is looking for and how to pitch your project to them.

Sarah will be in conversation with Screen NSW’s Senior Manager, Content Investment Lauren Edwards, followed by an audience Q&A.

Sarah Christie

Sarah Christie is the Head of Local Originals for Australia and New Zealand at Amazon MGM Studios, where she oversees the creative development of local original productions. In this role, she is responsible for all creative aspects across development, production, and post-production. At Amazon, Sarah has worked on Class of ’07, Deadloch S1, The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, The Office, The Narrow Road to the Deep North, Top End Bub as well as the upcoming Deadloch S2 and the recently announced Untitled AFL Docuseries.

Previously, Sarah was the Development Producer at Goalpost Pictures, where she managed the company’s film and television slate. While at Goalpost, she was Co-Producer on Black Snow (Stan, Sundance Now) and contributed to projects including New Gold Mountain (SBS), Unjoo Moon’s I Am Woman, Wayne Blair’s Top End Wedding, Fighting Season (Foxtel), Leigh Whannell’s Upgrade (produced with Blumhouse), Cleverman (ABC TV, SundanceTV), and Neil Armfield’s Holding the Man.

Sarah also served as Development Producer on James Vaughan’s debut feature film Friends and Strangers. Earlier in her career, she worked as an entertainment lawyer at Media Arts Lawyers. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).
