Screening: We Are Making A Film About Mark Fisher

We Are Making A Film About Mark Fisher (2024-25) is a film developed by Sophie Mellor and Simon Poulter, working under the moniker Close and Remote. Through Instagram (@markfisherfilm), they enlisted the support of seventy people to make the film with no budget, no studio backing, and no institutional permissions. 

We Are Making A Film About Mark Fisher explores solidarity, shared labour, and digital connectivity. It enacts what Fisher insisted was still possible—decapitalised cultural production, and collective agency among the ruins of neoliberal atomisation.
