Meet Joel Edwards
Six-Time Emmy® Award-winning Executive Producer and Founder of Evolve Studios®, Joel Edwards has spent over two decades at the intersection of artistry, entrepreneurship, and purposeful storytelling. Since founding the studio in 2010, Joel has led Evolve to become one of the industry’s quietly influential creative forces—producing original feature films, docuseries, branded content, commercials, and experimental media for platforms like Disney, Netflix, National Geographic, and ESPN.
Raised in Los Angeles, Joel began his career at 18, working with ESPN and FOX Sports before starting his own production company. He taught himself every aspect of production and at age 26, he became one of the youngest individuals ever to win a National Emmy Award. Since, his work has earned over 50 nominations and multiple wins from the Television Academy and other major honors.
Joel’s journey is defined by craftsmanship, instincts, and a passion for using film to explore the human experience. Today, he leads Evolve across three core verticals: original content development, premium production services, and branded storytelling.
