Escape the distractions of modern life - no TVs, no loud music. Kölsch Day is an opportunity to savor our meticulously crafted brew and connect with fellow enthusiasts in a traditional, intimate setting.
Scriptown's Cecilia Kölsch is an easy-drinking German-style blonde ale which is a beer style that is the pride of the Rhineland. Your Kölsch will be served in a .2L glass called a stange, from wreath-like trays, called a kränze. Our Köbes (beer waiters) will wander through the Tap Room and whenever they see an empty stange in front of you, it will be replaced with another full glass—and your coaster will be marked.
When you're done drinking Kölsch, just put your coaster (or deckel) on top of your glass and you'll be charged for number of tally marks for each finished beer on your way out.
We will ONLY serve Kölsch. You want Dos Amigos? Sorry, buddy. It’s Kölsch Night. There’s something wonderfully liberating about not having a choice- about everyone in the place enjoying the same drink. It removes the distraction of scanning menus as one chooses their next beer, and it allows the conversation to flow uninterrupted.
This will be a 21+ event with communal seating.
Your ticket purchase includes: entrance to Kölsch Day, Sausage Bowl & Pretzel with Beer Cheese by Lazy Buffalo BBQ, & your souvenir stange glass. Pours will be an additional $3.50.
