Sculptural book structures with stitch - 1 day workshop with Leonie Oakes

Join Leonie Oakes in making a small sculptural book utilising techniques Leonie uses in her own practice to create wearable sculptural forms.
Workshop 1: a one-day workshop that utilises a codex binding technique as its base to create a sculptural book form that you will be able to continue at home should you wish to to make the work as small or as expansive as you want. Participants will stitch and scrunch paper to create small sculptural works. Basic materials provided. (participants may want to use this workshop as a introduction to the 2-day workshop on 18th & 19th March.)
Leonie is an award-winning artist with an interdisciplinary arts practice that primarily focuses on artists’ books and wearable art. Enrol in one or both of the workshops.
Duration: 10am-3pm
Course fee: $150pp* + $20 materials (paid direct to the tutor)
*includes morning/afternoon tea + lunch at onsite cafe
