Sculpture on the Edge 2024 - Volunteering


Event description

Sculpture on the Edge is a renowned annual sculpture competition hosted by Arts Connect Inc in the scenic Sunshine Coast Hinterland. In 2024 the exhibition of selected entries by sculptors from near and far will be displayed at Flaxton Gardens, one of the Sunshine Coast’s most scenic wedding and event venues with panoramic views of the coastline from Noosa to Caloundra. The exhibition includes indoor and outdoor sculptures across a variety of media with a competition where sculptors can be awarded a total of $23,000 in prizes. The major award of $10,000 is generously donated by Flaxton Gardens.

Sculpture on the Edge continues to grow and will feature a wide selection of sculptures for all ages to appreciate. Thanks to the generous support from our sponsors, donors and event partner, Flaxton Gardens, the event is an outstanding cultural experience for everyone. The program includes the annual exhibition, workshops, sculptor talks and special events to create a deeply immersive creative experience for everyone to enjoy.

Volunteers must be an adult (18 yo+) and are required for a range of duties which may include installing advertising signs, installation of art worksculptures, using an EFTPOS machine or ticket scanning device, handling cash, interacting with visitors, handling boxes of event catalogues, data entry on a computer and assisting where possible. Some training may be provided. 

Volunteers will need to wear an ID pass & lanyard while on duty. 

No meals are provided. 

One free bonus One Day Pass provided per person registering to volunteer, allowing them to visit on any other day. To be emailed to the volunteer prior to the event.
