SCWC AGM 2026

The South Coast Writers Centre warmly invites all our members, existing, past and prospective, to a morning tea celebration of the work of the SCWC. If you’ve ever been curious about SCWC membership—come along, have a chat and meet our committee. 

Over morning tea, SCWC's 2026 Coledale Writers in Residence, science writer and researcher Sarah Hamylton and Christine Sykes, novelist, playwright and poet, will be in conversation with the Chair of the SCWC committee, Peter Frankis about their creative work and process.

Plus hear readings from the Young Writers Collective's most recent anthology, Untested Questions.

After morning tea, the AGM will begin which includes reports reflecting on the work of the SCWC over the 2025/26 financial year. Join us to hear about the important work of the Centre!

Members are also invited to nominate for positions on the Committee of Management. You can play a role in the direction of the SCWC, now in its thirty-second year. The Committee of Management meets 4-5 times per year and provides governance, strategic direction and creative advice to support the work of the SCWC. Nominations for office bearers will be called at the AGM for the roles of Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary.
