Ever wondered how coffee grounds, flour, fungi and other everyday ingredients can become materials for design and construction?

The Sustainable Design Society invites you to join us for a guided tour of the Biomaterials Lab at the University of Sydney, led by Cynthia Chen, PhD candidate in Design.

You’ll explore Composite Mycelium Materials, introduce the specialised equipment behind the fabrication process and hear about the story behind the Biomaterials Lab and its exploration of sustainable alternatives. Whether you’re interested in architecture, design, sustainability, material innovation or simply curious about what the future of materials could look like, we’d love to have you join us.

Come explore how science, design and sustainability can work together to create a more innovative material future.

See you there!
