Looking for a fun way to kick off Semester 2 while making a positive impact on the environment? Join the Sustainable Design Society as we partner with Inner West Council for National Tree Day.

Whether you're a returning student or starting your very first semester, this is the perfect opportunity to get involved before classes begin. Spend the morning outdoors planting native trees, learning about local biodiversity, and connecting with fellow students who are passionate about sustainability, design, and creating healthier communities.

National Tree Day is Australia's largest community tree-planting event, and by volunteering you'll be helping restore native habitat, improve urban biodiversity, create cooler and greener neighbourhoods, and contribute to a more resilient environment for future generations.

No prior experience is needed, everyone is welcome! Inner West Council will provide all planting equipment and guidance, so all you need to bring is:

• Clothes and enclosed shoes you don't mind getting a little muddy

• A hat and sunscreen

• A reusable water bottle

• Plenty of enthusiasm!

This is a fantastic chance to meet new people, make friends across different year groups, and become part of the Sustainable Design Society community before the semester gets busy. Whether you're studying architecture, design, engineering, science, or simply care about the environment, we'd love to have you join us.
