EDV Online Support Groups - SE-ED

In this group we welcome individuals experiencing a long term eating disorder (10+ years) where attempts at treatment have so far been unsuccessful. The group gives people the opportunity to draw upon the support, experience and skills of others facing similar SE-ED issues. It is an open space to discuss what you are struggling with, reflect on current challenges and discuss coping tools.

Please note that this group is for Victorian residents only.

December - Navigating the Festive Season

What is involved? EDV Online Support Groups are led by facilitators who have lived experience with an eating disorder. Groups give people the opportunity to draw upon the support, experience and skills of others facing similar issues.

Each session will run for 90 mins, including a short break when needed. Sessions will have a topic/theme which will be used to guide the discussion. Group participants are also able to raise other questions, thoughts, ideas or issues that they would like to discuss.

Groups will run with a minimum of 4 participants and a maximum of 15 participants. Participants need to register to attend.

Who can join?

Participants need to identify with having a long term eating disorder (10+ years).
Participants need to be 18 years of age or over
Participants must read and acknowledge the group agreement when registering
Participants cannot be current participants in the SE-ED Program

We welcome people to attend these groups at any stage of their wellness and recovery journey. You can learn more about all the Online Support Groups offered by EDV and our support group facilitators here.

Where are groups held? Groups are held online via Zoom. Please ensure you have a quiet safe space where you are not overheard by others. The link is sent to participants via email approx. 2 hours prior to the group. Please check in your junk inbox if not received.

Please note: the group will be closed 15 minutes from the start time to ensure respect for the group, as per group guidelines.
