Event description

The topic of sea-level rise in relation to international law is currently under discussion in the International Law Commission, which intends to conclude the topic in this year’s session. He was also the lead counsel for Latvia in the International Court of Justice advisory proceedings on Obligations of States with Respect to Climate Change, and argued the case in the Hague in December, also addressing sea-level rise in relation to statehood and law of the sea.
