    Event description

    Join Marine Scientist Dr Greg Parry and Visual Artist Deb Taylor for our 6th Nature Art event exploring seagrass meadows.

    Seagrass is a foundation species of Swan Bay.

    Dr Greg Parry is President of the Swan Bay Environment Association.  He is a marine scientist who has been studying the ecosystems of Port Phillip and Swan Bay throughout his professional life.  Greg will lead a short walk and talk at the start of this session. We may have a couple of magnifiers on hand.

    Deb Taylor's art practice consists of painting, collage and drawing. Inspired by colour, nature and the alchemy of art making her work is abstract but connected to the shapes, colours and patterns of the everyday.  She is part of the group of artists exhibiting at "Flow - Stories of the Wetlands" at The Hive Gallery in Ocean Grove opening on May 31st and running until June 30th.

    In this workshop participants will be able to explore watercolour, ink and collage techniques.

    * Morning tea is provided

    ** This workshop is for beginner and more experienced artists

    *** All art materials are provided

    ****Please wear old shoes or gum boots for possible wading and weather appropriate clothing
