Seahorses Movie Night Fundraiser- A League of Their Own
Event description
A group of talented SA baseballers have been selected to represent SA at the inaugural Barclay Cup in Queensland in September 2022. The girls come from a variety of clubs across the State and represent the future of women in SA baseball. They need your help to raise funds to help with travel costs.
On Friday 19th August at 7pm, we will be hosting a movie night at the Odeon Star, Semaphore and showing the classic movie, "A League of their Own".
A League of Their Own, directed by Penny Marshall, and starring Geena Davis, Lori Petty, Tom Hanks, Madonna, and Rosie O'Donnell, tells a fictionalised account of the All American Girls Professional Baseball League.
Ticket price is $20pp and gets you entry to the movie plus a ticket in the door prize. When buying your tickets, you can also pre-purchase popcorn, drinks and choctops which sends a few extra dollars towards the girls. We will also be having a silent auction on the night, so please send us a message on 0419 814 325 if you have any prizes that will help in our fundraising efforts.
Please note the cinema is upstairs with no lift available.
You'll be able to purchase extra food from the candy bar on the night, so you don't need to pre-order those with your tickets.
