Search for a SOCCAroo Trial

Sportall is the official Australian partner to deliver the Search for a SOCCAroo — Road to Oman trial and selection process in conjunction with Mosaic Sports Club NSW.

The first Open Trial to identify up to 5 players to join the provisional Australia squad to contest the International Socca Federation (ISF) Socca World Cup in Oman (29 Nov - 7 Dec) will be held from 1:30pm - 4:30pm on Sunday 1st September at Henley Park, Enfield.

Players will register to participate in a series of mini 5 v 5 matches played over an hour with the best players picked to contest a final competitive trial match at 3:30pm.

Following the completion of this match, the successful trialists will be advised and will be invited to attend a pre-tour intensive training and final selection program based in Sydney with a view to securing a seat on the plane to Oman as a member of the official SOCCA Australia team to be announced early October.

Eligibility Requirements

·    17+ years of age

·    Each player must be a citizen or permanent resident, or who has applied for citizenship, or has done everything necessary to prove their intention to become a citizen of the country which they are representing.

·    Players must be of amateur level and not currently on contract playing or due to play for a professional football or futsal club.

·    Must be available to participate in a weekly training and final selection program as a
registered Mosaic Metros Sports Club member.

·    If selected, must be available to self-finance travel to and from Oman, arriving a minimum of 3 days prior to the tournament start date (29 November) and participate in the week-long tournament as well as partake in all squad training and social engagements.
