Event description

The Village welcomes you to a day of retreat - to slow down ahead of the busy holiday season and reflect on the year that has been and the year to come.

Join us for a day of movement, creativity, nourishment and reflection as we honour ourselves and the year, behind us and ahead.

The schedule:

  • Ceramics - hand build a mug with a motto for 2025.
  • Lino Printing - carve a lino print block followed by card printing for the holiday season.
  • Movement - two movement sessions with NSW-based pilates instructor/Osteopath Jariah Knuckey from Resolve Osteopathy.
  • Mindfulness - be guided through some gentle and grounding mindfulness practice.
  • 2024 reflections / 2025 Goal setting - Join us for an exercise in Self Love Letter writing to be posted back to yourself on the Winter Solstice, with a focus on acceptance, forgiveness and loving our whole selves.
  • An optional swim to close out the Summer Solstice retreat.

The Summer Solstice as the longest day of the year is energetically charged and traditionally a time to reflect, set intentions and nourish oneself. This is an opportunity for some self-care and a reset after the year that has been and the holiday season ahead.

The Village will provide a nourishing plant-based lunch, morning tea, afternoon tea and unlimited yummy warm and cold beverages throughout the day.

The retreat will take place at the Princess Royal Sailing Club located just a short drive from the heart of Kinjarling / Albany. Situated on the foreshore of Princess Royal Harbour with sweeping views of the harbour and Torndirrup National Park, this is the ideal location to retreat for the day and immerse yourself in creativity and nature.

This retreat requires a minimum participation number to go ahead. If the retreat does not have the minimum number of participants one week before the event, we will provide a full refund to all ticket holders.

This workshop is taking place on, inspired by and celebrating Menang Noongar Boodja, which has been cared for by its Traditional Custodians for tens of thousands of years. We pay our respect to elders past, present and emerging. Always was, always will be.

With love and gratitude,

The Village
