Season Songbirds

Season Songbirds is a gig series designed to showcase and support female creatives from Western Australia. Inspired by the Nashville Bluebird Café “songwriters in the round” format, each event features four female singer-songwriters sharing original songs and the stories behind them in an intimate, acoustic, seated setting.

Each event also features one female visual artist, who designs the event poster and is highlighted during the gig.

The series has a strong community focus. Across all events, attendees are encouraged to donate to a selected women-focused organisation, and 10% of proceeds from each gig are allocated to this fundraising effort.

This is a BYO event - please feel free to bring a rug, some nibblies and drinks.

Artist in focus: Ariel Katzir's work is rooted in expression. Blending painting, mixed media, and collaborative projects to create pieces that feel raw, human, and alive. Each artwork is a dialogue between colour, texture, and form, often exploring themes of identity, performance, and connection. (Artwork to be uploaded)

Worthy Australia is a domestic violence charity supporting women and children escaping violence by creating fully furnished Safe Haven homes, supporting pathways to stable housing, and helping women rebuild financial futures.

When families leave domestic violence refuges, they are often placed into empty housing with no beds, furniture, or essential household items. Worthy transforms these empty houses into safe, beautiful, fully furnished homes within days, restoring dignity, stability, and hope.
