Interested in preserving seasonal produce but not sure where to begin? This beginner-friendly workshop introduces the foundations of seasonal preserving and how it can help reduce food waste while making the most of fresh, abundant produce. We will explore simple preserving methods, key food safety principles, and practical ways to confidently begin preserving at home.

The focus is on understanding the process and building confidence rather than producing multiple finished items on the day. The session is designed for those new to preserving and offers realistic, achievable ideas that can be adapted to your own kitchen.

This free workshop is part of the Living Lightly series and is delivered by Bass Coast Adult Learning in partnership with Bass Coast Shire Council.

Registration is essential so we can keep in contact if there are any changes and ensure adequate materials for all participants.
