Event Background
Every year, the Sports Environment Alliance hosts the #SEASummit, to provide a place for our family and the greater clean economy community to engage on issues which matter to us: blue skies, clean water, and green grass - so we can continue to enjoy what we love- play and watch sport.
As part of the #SEASummit, we celebrate those that make remarkable efforts to minimise their environmental impact, make their sports more sustainable and act as environmental stewards to ensure that we continue to have spaces and places to play and award them with the #SEAChanger Awards.

At the last #SEASummit, SEA proudly announced #SEAMember West Coast Eagles Football Club as the winner of the #SEAChanger award. The Eagles were recognised for their hugely successful Re-think your Waste campaign in which the club engaged with their fan base about the importance of responsible waste disposal. In their 2019 Re-think your Waste Match, contamination of recycling bins at Optus Stadium was reduced from 52% to 16%.
This year, we are again celebrating the good work being done across our communities to minimise our impact. Sport is a vehicle for social and environmental good, and your efforts, big or small, to reduce energy, water and material use should be celebrated.
#SEAChanger Awards Finalists
Congratulations to Australian Grand Prix Corporation, Motorsport Australia, and Victoria Racing Club for being finalists in the #SEAMember category and Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort, Golf & Country Club, and SPORTENG on behalf of Waverley Netball Centre, who head up the non-member category.
We look forward to announcing the winners at the #SEASummit!
