About Seb One
Over the last decade David “Seb One” Tang has been known best for raising standards and challenging people’s expectations of culture through his music and knowledge. In 2018 he answered New York City’s summons, debuting at the internationally renowned Elite Force
and MOPTOP crews’ flagship event “STEP YA GAME UP” during the NYC “Summer of Dance.” He made enough of an impression to be invited back for 2019 and 2022.
His extensive involvement with the global street dance community includes events such as Battle of the Year Australia and China, R16 Oceania, Freestyle Session Australia and Hong Kong, Whassup Doc vol 2 and Genesis 4 in Malaysia. Seb One’s contributions to culture are not limited to DJing. In 2021, he consulted on the World Dance Sport Federation’s pilot Under 21 European Hip Hop Championship. As well as “underground” events alongside mainstream parties, including Soul of Sydney, Seb One is also a two-time DMC NSW Vice-Champion.
Seb One also has an interest in sound. He most recently completed an overhaul and tuning for the entirety of the Peridance Center (NYC) including their six studios and their performance space, KnJ Theater. He was also the 2018 NSW Jamboree Car Audio SQ Masters division Champion.
In 2023, Seb One was inducted into MOPTOP Family, standing shoulder to shoulder with the likes of Elite Force Crew, Dance Fusion and a host of other world renowned heavyweights in Hip Hop culture.
