About the SECC Community Choir
The SECC Community Choir is a welcoming, inclusive space designed for adults of all ages who love to sing—whether you're a seasoned vocalist or just love belting out a tune in the shower! More than just a singing group, this choir is about community, connection, and creativity.
Key Benefits of the Program
Social Connection: A chance to meet like-minded individuals, make new friends, and build
strong community ties.
Well-being & Mental Health: Singing has been proven to reduce stress, enhance
mood, and boost overall mental health.
Confidence Building: Grow in confidence as you learn and develop your singing skills in a
supportive, uplifting environment.
Performance Opportunities: Members will have the opportunity to perform at SECC events such as Christmas in July and other community celebrations.
Why This Program Is Important
Many adults in our community experience social isolation and loneliness, particularly seniors and those new to the area. This program provides a safe, fun, and engaging space where people can express themselves through music, share in a positive group experience, and contribute to local community events.
This choir is more than just singing—it’s about creating something special together,
where every voice matters!
Please note we are only able to accept adults for this choir who live in the Bayside, Randwick, City of Sydney, Woollahra and Waverley LGAs.
