Join us for SECNA's next quarterly meetup!

The themes for our quarterly meetups this year will align with what our members have identified as what the sector needs more of (access to markets, capability building, securing capital and networks). The theme for the this meetup will be Funding for Social Enterprises - Grants, Debt & Equity

All enterprises need capital (money) to start and to grow. Charities favour grants and donations. Profit maximising companies favour equity (investors) and debt (borrowing). Social enterprises sit somewhere in the middle and the ways in which they are funded is becoming more nuanced.

We'll talk to experts in philanthropy, debt and investment to get their views on the trends, challenges and opportunities.

This event is a great chance to connect with social enterprises, social entrepreneurs, and their supporters in a relaxed setting. This hybrid event welcomes everyone, members and non-members of SECNA. It's a great chance to bring colleagues or friends interested in social enterprise.

Event Schedule:

6:00pm: Arrival and registration
6:15pm: Acknowledgement & Welcome
6:30pm: Panel Discussion + Q&A time
7:00pm: Light catering and networking/Online discussion
8:00pm: Meeting close

We will provide a Zoom link via email a few days before the event for those attending digitally. For those online, another discussion, led by the team from the South Australian Social Enterprise Council (SASEC) will be hosted after the formal panel discussion

Light snacks and non-alcoholic drinks will be available. They include a grazing board with cheeses, cold cuts, veg sticks, fresh bread, and dips. As part of Canva's licensing requirements, the venue is now alcohol-free.
