This full day workshop, presented by WATESOL and Circular Learning. will guide you through how drawing on Second Language Acquisition (SLA) theories can help you make informed decisions in planning and running classroom activities that promote language acquisition.
This workshop is perfect for EALD, TESOL and ELICOS teachers.
We'll look at key SLA theories such as:
Input hypothesis
Noticing hypothesis
Output hypothesis
Interaction hypothesis
and collaboratively plan a lesson using evidence-based approaches to support language development.
This workshop is aligned to the following competencies English Australia CPD Framework criteria:
1.1 Language learning theories
2.1 Catering to diverse characteristics of students
5.2 Planning lessons and course
8.1 Engaging in and applying professional learning to improve practice
8.3 Collaborating with colleagues to improve practice
