    Clara Brack

    Clara Brack was born in Melbourne, the first of four daughters of artists Helen Maudsley and John Brack. She taught in Technical Schools and TAFE, wrote extensively, and made photographic books for family and friends. The Secret Landscapes is the culmination of over twenty years of writing, marking her release of a long-held and deeply personal story. Headshot: Emma Baines

    Gabriella Coslovich

    Gabriella Coslovich is an arts journalist with more than 25 years’ experience, including 15 at The Age newspaper in Melbourne, where she was a senior arts writer. She was the first journalist to gain an exclusive interview with Tasmanian art collector and gambler David Walsh, and revealed his plans to create the Museum of Old and New Art in Hobart. Her book, Whiteley on Trial, on Australia’s most audacious case of alleged art fraud, won a Walkley in 2018. The book formed the basis for the In Films television series The Whiteley Art Scandal, which screened on the ABC, Netflix and Stan. She has written for numerous publications including The Age, Australian Financial Review, Good Weekend, The Saturday Paper and Griffith Review. In 2024, she won the June Andrews Award for Freelance Journalist of the Year, with the judges noting her “excellent journalistic investigation and integrity”.
