Join Jayne and Barbara from Seedsavers for a practical and informative workshop to understand the basics of saving seed.
Learn the difference between heirloom, open-pollinated and hybrid seeds, how different plants self- and cross-pollinate, common plant varieties and what plants to start with on your seed saving journey. You'll get hands-on with cleaning four varieties using different techniques, as well as tips for harvesting and storing.
Along with your goodies, take home the knowledge of why it's important to keep seed saving alive in our communities!
