The Workshop:  Making an artwork of our treasured thoughts and secrets, whether it be hiding secret messages and symbols in a painting or crafting a secret pocket in a bag or book! Using watercolour and ink and other various art materials, we will have fun and make some magic!

My workshops are all about having fun and this workshop is about giving a group of young people the opportunity to connect with each other as they explore the concept of personal creative power! This workshop is expression focused, using mixed media; pencil, ink and watercolour on paper and/or canvas. The aim is to gently develop skills, have fun and gain exposure to contemporary art making. 

Age: 7-16yrs (younger if accompanied by an adult)

Materials: All materials provided for an easy and rewarding experience.

Be guided by a practicing artist in relaxed and no-experience-necessary environment.– Create a work of art in a supportive small group environment.– Designed for young people of all skill levels.

Meet your host: Arna Baartz is an award winning Artist with work featured in books, magazines and private collections all over the world. Using visual arts as a method of expression, personal growth and communication, she is an arts educator and founder of programs like I AM, Kids In Touch Arts and The Emotional Intelligence Initiative. Arna's career spans more than thirty years and is an expert at helping you release your inner creative and make your creative marks without fear.
She creates in her studio at M|Arts Precinct where she also displays and sells artwork, writing pieces and more.
