ComVoices, in collaboration with Community Networks Aotearoa, invites you to the launch of: 

The STATE OF THE SECTOR SURVEY (2022) REPORT: 

COMMUNITY AND VOLUNTARY SECTOR “ON THE BRINK”  

The presentation will start at 7:30 AM, but doors will open from 7:00 AM for breakfast snacks. 

For ten years, the respondents to this survey – Leaders of community and voluntary organisations – have painted a picture of the Sector’s financial vulnerability and the pressure to grow provision and delivery to meet their communities’ service demands. The 2022 Survey follows two years of the pandemic and its unique impacts are worn heavily by the survey’s respondents.  

Covid has increased the demand for services and heightened the complexity of that demand. But workforce shortages, static funding levels and what seems constant revisions to funders’ contract specifications and reporting standards hinder the sector’s innovation and leave leaders and their staff exhausted. Post-pandemic, the sector delivering community well-being has well-being issues of its own.
