SEDER MEAL Presented by: Connie Longsworth and Sandra Derby
Join us for a Christian observance of this ritual meal that celebrates not only our tradition of Christ's last supper but our own Jewish heritage which provided the context for Jesus' institution at the last supper. Cost: $20 per person Limited Seating
About the Presenters
Connie Longsworth is an author, wife, mom, grandma and spiritual director. Connie Longsworth writes as a Latina raised in Mexico and the U.S. She spends much of her life looking to understand and come to terms with the roots of her upbringing. She brings her experience from spiritual retreats over the last 15 years, her studies as a graduate of the Cenacle Spiritual Direction program, and her experience as a volunteer spiritual director and mentor.
Sandra Derby is a musician & educator. She has taught classroom music and directed school choirs for much of her career, as well as served as a music minister. She holds an MA in Theology from the University of Notre Dame and has taught courses in Liturgical Spirituality, Sacramental Theology, and Catholic Social Teaching. She currently teaches Theology to Juniors & Seniors at St. Agnes Academy, including an elective entitled, “Seeking God in Literature & the Arts.” Sandra is an active parishioner at St. Theresa’s in Memorial Park.
