    Event description

The Tweed’s main water supply is the Tweed River. When water levels are low, we release water from the Clarrie Hall Dam to keep the river flowing.

To help secure our water supply, Council is proposing to raise the dam wall, increasing the size of the dam from 16,000 megalitres (ML) to about 42,300 ML. This would secure our water supply until at least 2065. Presently, Council is preparing an environmental impact statement on the proposal.

This Local Government Week, come along on this tour and find out how the dam works.

NB: To take part in the tour, you need to wear enclosed shoes. Please park at the designated car parking area and meet at the rotunda.
