Seed Collection Workshop

Dan Frost from Seeding Victoria will present this practical workshop where we will be out in the field collecting seeds on several properties in the vicinity of Swan Bay. 

Dan will show us how to test ripeness of seed, and discuss the practicalities of collection as well as covering important aspects such as permits, ethics, hygiene, equipment & seed storage.

Bring your own drink bottle and packed lunch. 

We will supply morning tea and bring extra water. 

Wear long sleeves, long pants and covered shoes, and if you've got them please bring gaiters as we'll be moving through long grass.

Car pooling is to be encouaged and we will give you the exact place of meeting when those details have been confirmed. Please note there will be no access to toilets in the field, but we will be a short drive from public toilets.
