Seed Saving and Propagation Workshop

In this FREE workshop you will learn the how easy it is to save your own seeds and propagate plants for later on.

Seed saving is the practice of harvesting, cleaning, and storing seeds from mature, open-pollinated plants to grow again. This promotes local adaptation and saves costs. Propagation is the process of growing new plants from these saved seeds or plant parts (like cuttings) to expand a garden or continue a crop lineage.

Brought to you by Sugar Valley Sustainable Neighbourhood Group and Lake Macquarie City Council through the Lake Mac Grows program and presented by The Groundswell Collective at Holmesville Community Garden, this free 2 hour workshop will answer all your questions and demonstrate how you can save your own seeds and propagate from them.

To help support the garden, morning tea will be available for a gold coin donation and there will be plants and liquid worm fertilizer available for purchase.

Numbers are limited, so get in early and book now!
