Seedbox Building Creative Workshop for Kids
Event description
Looking for a creative activity to do with your child/ren these school holidays? As part of our Tool Library, we're running a workshop for kids to build their very own seedbox.
There are two workshops to choose from:
▶Workshop One: 10am-12pm Monday 10 October 2022
▶Workshop Two: 1pm-3pm Monday 10 October 2022
Join our facilitators Julia and Heta as they guide you and your child/ren with these activities:
🔨 Prep the materials (We will have some wood prepared for less experienced kids but kids who are really keen and have a bit of experience can saw their own wood)
🔨 Learn how to safely use tools including electric drills
🔨 Assemble the seedbox
🎨 Use artistic flare to paint and decorate the seedbox
🌱 Fill with seedling mix and seeds
💚 Take their seedbox home and watch their seedlings grow!
All equipment and materials are supplied. No experience necessary/ we can cater for all experience levels.
This workshop requires participation by the child/rens Guardian.
