Seeing Beyond ADHD Behaviour

Understanding Your Child’s World After an ADHD Diagnosis

An ADHD diagnosis can bring answers — and a whole new set of questions.

Why can my child know what to do, but still struggle to do it?
Why do mornings, homework or transitions sometimes become so difficult?
And how do I know what support will actually help?

This 90-minute interactive workshop is for parents and carers of children and young people aged 7–16 who want to better understand what may be happening underneath everyday ADHD behaviour.

Rather than giving you another long list of strategies, we will focus on how to understand the moment before deciding what to do next.

You will explore:

why knowing is not always the same as doing
how regulation, executive functioning and task demands can affect behaviour
the PAUSE → SEE → WONDER → SUPPORT framework
three practical shifts you can begin using at home: reduce the load, shrink the start, support the switch

60 minutes guided learning + 30 minutes Parent Discussion & Application, giving you space to ask questions and apply the ideas to real-life situations.

This workshop stands alone and is also Part 1 — SEE of the ADHD Coach WA Parent Foundations series.

Understand first. Then choose support.
