Event description

In a time of increased focus on sustainability disclosure, there is an ever-growing need to find effective ways to gather, store, manipulate and report ESG data. As the professionalisation of sustainability within organisations of all sizes has evolved and with the arrival of mandatory climate disclosures suddenly hundreds of new data and reporting platforms have sprung up. What has been a drip over the past few decades has become a pouring tap. Options abound. Questions emerge. Silver bullets are promised. Cynicism is activated.

So what to do as the already time-poor sustainability professional? With such an array of choice and noise from the market, how to make sense of what’s available, where to start and how to use an ESG data platform as a mechanism to help deliver on the change you want to have? The questions are endless, the opportunities and dangers plentiful.

Our facilitator for the evening, Rich Griffiths has, like many others in out community, been exploring contemplating this issue at length in recent times. Rich recently left leading ESG advisory business, Edge Impact, where he witnessed first hand the trials and tribulations of clients large and small as they attempted to identify, procure and on-board data partners. In the months since, conversations with both practitioners and service providers have only served to heighten his impression that there is an opportunity for us to collaborate to sort the wheat from the chaff.

In this session, we will bring together the expertise of seasoned technology professionals to help you answer some of your ESG data questions, learn from the experiences of others and help you get on with or improve your approach to how platforms, applications and emerging technologies serve you and your goals.

For the purposes of confidentiality and to avoid on the night selling - this session is strictly for non-data providers and vendors (including ESG consultants).
