Seeing things as they really are and cultivating an other-centred attitude: An evening with Geshe Sherab
Event description
Join Geshe Sherab for an inspiring talk exploring the two fundamental causes of human suffering: our failure to see reality clearly and our tendency towards self-centredness. Drawing from profound Buddhist wisdom, Geshe Sherab will illuminate how these habits shape our experience and how we can transform them. He will guide us on a path that begins with the practice of generosity and kindness, deepens through meditation, and leads to a profound understanding of ourselves and others—fostering greater clarity, compassion, and genuine well-being.
The evening will consist of a talk of approximately one hour followed by 30 minutes of Q&A. Coffee, tea, and Swedish cinnamon buns will be served. :-)
Geshe Thubten Sherab was born in Nepal of Tibetan parents, and received his education at Kopan Monastery, Nepal. He completed his studies at Sera Jey Monastic University and at Gyume Tantric College in India.
He returned to Nepal after several years in the U.S. to become Headmaster of Kopan Monastery. Geshe-la has retired from the Headmaster role in order to have more time to devote to meditation and to teaching internationally. For the last few years, he has been travelling and teaching at FPMT Centers in USA, Canada, Mexico, Asia and Europe.
