Seize the Yay presents Hedley Thomas

After a short break from live events, we are thrilled to be back for an evening with the inimitable Hedley Thomas. Hedley is a Walkley Award-winning investigative journalist, National Chief Correspondent at The Australian and creator of world-renowned podcasts including The Teacher's Pet, Shandee's Story, and Bronwyn.

It was my great privilege to host Hedley on Seize the Yay a few months ago and strike up somewhat of a friendship in the process. Our initial idea for a follow up episode quickly escalated into a live event when he kindly offered to travel to Melbourne and waive his speaker fees so that we could support a local domestic violence charity - a cause close to his heart.

We are thrilled to be donating 100% of ticket sales to Safe Steps Victoria, the only statewide 24/7, inclusive and confidential, family and domestic violence crisis support service. To make our event as accessible as possible, we set a default ticket price but many of you indicated a desire to donate more so you can also set your own additional ticket price that will be donated in full to Safe Steps.

Your ticket includes drinks and grazing plates with arrivals from 6:30pm for a relaxed conversation at 7pm between Hedley and myself, Sarah Davidson. We will follow with audience Q&A, opportunities to meet Hedley and mingle. We hope to offer a silent auction as well - more details TBC.
