Event description

At EDV, we understand the importance of self-advocacy throughout an eating disorder experience and recovery journey. Utilising self-advocacy strategies during recovery can be a powerful tool to voice your own unique needs and preferences whilst navigating support.

This EDV Community Webinar is a 1 hour online workshop that will explore self-advocacy in relation to an eating disorder. This webinar is suitable for anyone who is experiencing or in recovery from an eating disorder, carers and support people, and those in the general community who are wanting to learn more about this topic.

You can expect a balance of education and the opportunity for reflection, with a focus on the following topics:

  • Defining self advocacy

  • Self-advocacy and eating disorders

  • Strategies and tools to improve self-advocacy

  • Support considerations
