Event description

The Grief Cocoon presents their 1st edition of Grief-care Sunday.

Start the New Year off by prioritising your self-care with two tailored well-being sessions, led by Pepe Inostroza Aqueveque (TAS) from Ease and Motion (https://www.easeandmotion.com/).

This is for you if:

  • you've experienced loss
  • you want to explore and deepen the relationship with your body
  • you want to connect more with yourself
  • you want to connect with others
  • you're ready to make time for your care and wellbeing

We’ll start the morning off with yoga, breath work and sound, specifically designed to move and release grief-related emotions held in your body. Accompanied by live music from Gabriela Georges (founder of The Grief Cocoon).

This will be followed by a somatic movement-based session that will re-energise you, promote creativity, and encourage playfulness through exploratory activities.

Take some time out to connect with yourself and others by attending one or both sessions. No experience necessary. People of all levels are welcome.

#1 Yoga session: 11am - 12:30pm*

#2 Movement session: 2pm - 5:00pm*

*all times are in AEDT.

What previous participants have said:

"I came with some anger, irritation and then sadness at the start. As we went through different movement stages/activities, that lifted with some release through crying, and overwhelm. Then peace and relaxing feelings."

"It made me think about the connection between the body and emotions and how interconnected it all is. I felt open, receptive and connected."

"Connected to stored energy - emotional connection. Feel good, safe, loving, connected internally and externally."
