Self-compassion and Mindfulness Workshop
Event description
"A moment of self-compassion can change your entire day. A string of such moments can change the course of your life."
"What’s more important than the intensity of the challenge you face in life is how you relate to yourself in the midst of it."
Self-compassion involves being warm and understanding toward ourselves when we suffer, fail, or feel insecure, rather than criticising or putting ourselves down. Research has shown that acting with greater compassion towards ourselves is related to having greater mental health and well-being. However, it is often easier said than done.
This 2.5 hr group psychology workshop will focus on helping you to develop and apply greater self-compassion to yourself in your day to day life. Facilitated by Clinical Psychologist, Felicity Jefferson, this group workshop is an affordable way to learn greater self-compassion.
