Event description

Truth Women’s Circles invites you to our first women’s circle within our beautiful Hills community. We will explore self-care with a new perspective. This will be a sensory experience that will allow your body, mind and soul to relax and reflect on what you really need to start to feel like yourself again.

Truth Women's Circles is Ruth and Rebecca. We have lived within The Hills community for more than 10 years and met almost 8 years ago at a Mother's Group. We have gone (and are still going!) on our own, very individual, journeys of growth and development. However, we both discovered the power of sitting in circle with women. It provides such a beautiful place for self-care, self-development or self-discovery – or all three over time. We have both realised that working with women is something we would like to make a more permanent part of our lives. Our first step in achieving this is to introduce women's circles to our community to allow other women to benefit from this wonderful practice.

What to expect:

  • A ceremonial ritual to welcome you to the circle.
  • Sharing throughout the circle (completely optional).
  • Listening to other women's stories.
  • Cacao Ceremony - guided inner reflection while mindfully drinking sacred cacao (a beautiful plant medicine hot chocolate).
  • Meditation/Visualisation activity.
  • Exploration of our five senses and some quiet time for self-care.
  • A ceremonial ritual to close the circle.
  • Tea and Treats.

What to bring:

  • Water bottle.
  • Light sarong/blanket to lay over the cushions/boulsters within the room.
  • Anything to make yourself feel comfy and cosy while sitting in circle (eg a blanket, jumper, wrap, yoga mat). The room is carpeted and has an aircon/heater unit.
  • Journal/notebook and pen to record any reflections.

PLEASE READ - Other important information:

  • The circle will start at 6:30pm and finish between 9 and 9:30pm.
  • This will be followed by tea and treats, finishing up at 10:00pm.
  • Arrive at 6:20pm for a 6:30pm start. The doors will close at 6:30pm sharp.
  • Let us know if you have any food allergies so we can cater the cacao and treats to your requirements.
  • Let us know if you have any other types of allergies or sensitivities, in particular to essential oils.
  • We sit on the ground for an extended period of time. If you will find this uncomfortable please get in touch with us and we will organise appropriate seating to ensure you will be comfortable for the entire evening.
  • For the comfort of everyone, please refrain from applying any perfume or any other strong scents.

One final note. We would like to bring your awareness to your ticketing fees. We have chosen to use Humanitix (https://www.humanitix.com/au/) for our ticketing platform because 100% of profits from booking fees goes towards projects that address education gaps affecting disadvantaged children. Our event will support “A fairer world for disadvantaged young girls”, a project that transforms the literacy skills of primary school children in low income countries, to ensures girls have the skills and support they need to stay in high school and complete their secondary education.
