Join Sarah Johnson from the Department of Education will present a two hour workshop on Classroom Behaviour Management strategies.
This workshop is pitched at pre service and newly graduated teachers.
This interactive workshop will provide participants with practical classroom management strategies that are designed to reduce unproductive behaviour and increase student engagement.
The workshop will cover the instructional responses to responding to unproductive behaviour:
Low Key responses
Redirect - A brief, clear, private verbal reminder of the expected behaviour
Re-teach - Builds on the re-direct by specifically instructing exactly what should be done
Choice - A statement of two alternatives.
Student Conference - Private re-teaching or problem solving in a time of calm.
