Join us for Vermilion Records' end of year showcase - featuring four artists from our talented roster & a special guest artist! 

This is sure to be a thrilling show, with artists deni, Georgia Scarlett, Hicktown Barnaby, milliepede, and strayfold playing! On the night, there will be a merch raffle, as well as artist merchandise to purchase, hosted by our lovely VR Live Events team.

Inspired by her Filipino upbringing and the sounds of her adolescence, deni is an upcoming bedroom rock artist based in Meanjin. Her music is characterised by relatable lyricism, woozy guitars and dreamy melodies, reminiscent of beabadoobee and grentperez. Her music dances around conversations of girlhood and nostalgia, wrapped in a little red bow. deni is joined by her talented band, also known as the anteaters, consisting Alex Bateman, Sam Haynes and James Love.

With enchanting, smooth vocals and rich acoustic guitar playing, Georgia Scarlett has crafted a unique and captivating sound. Georgia's mission as an artist is to create and share music which connects to her audience through storytelling. The Georgia Scarlett Band comprises of Georgia (lead vocals, acoustic guitar), Evan (electric guitar, vocals), Will (drums), and Arni (bass). The group aims to give you a unique experience exploring a tapestry of musical styles, blending, folk, country, indie and soft-rock sounds. 

Hicktown Barnaby are a band of three people who came together to make music in 2022. It was fate. Now they make songs together with guitar, bass, drums and singing. All these guys do is play music. Thank you for reading :)

Meet Milliepede, a singer/songwriter currently living in Meanjin (Brisbane). With a strong focus on vulnerable lyricism, Milliepede advocates for the importance of mental health awareness through their songwriting and artform. Their main goal through writing and performing music to others, is to find connection and articulate thoughts and feelings that are otherwise difficult to explain on their own. 

strayfold is an alternative rock band from Brisbane/Meanjin, arising with their dynamic shoegaze sound. Their songs marry gracefully vulnerable lyrics with tenacious instrumentals, creating passionate music that is both intimate and lush. Inspired by the likes of my bloody valentine, Julia Jacklin, and Feeble Little Horse, strayfold’s 6-piece ensemble features striking sounds of baritone guitar, violin and soaring female vocals.
