This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

"Can't Pay, Won't Pay" is a play by Dario Fo that tells the story of two working-class women, Antonia and Margherita, who become involved in a supermarket riot over the rising cost of living. They end up stealing food and hiding it from their husbands and the police while dealing with the consequences of their actions. The play uses humour and satire to criticize the societal structures that perpetuate poverty and inequality and highlights the extreme measures that ordinary people may be forced to take to survive in an unjust system.
