This session will help you understand your options and help you make informed decisions. Seniors Rights Service will help you understand what is involved in the process and how to prepare for any issues that arise, whether you are living in a retirement village or if you decide to move out.

Seniors Rights Service provides information and support to people seeking to access in-home and residential aged care services. They can help you with the income and assets assessment process and offer information on a range of different issues including:

Provide information about rights and responsibilities
Help resolve problems or complaints with aged care service providers

Seniors Rights Service presenters

Nalika Padmasena, Solicitor. Nalika is a Solicitor at Seniors Rights Service. She has been working in the Supported Accommodation Legal Team for 16 years with extensive experience providing legal advice and assistance to retirement villages residents.
Ashley Bower, Advocate. Ashley has been with Seniors Rights Service for just over 12 months. Her previous role was with the Aged care Quality and Safety Commission as Senior Assessor compliance and regulation and she worked there for 4 years. Prior to that she has worked in various regulatory and compliance roles at the fair work commission and Australian Border Force. Her passion is to inform and educate the most vulnerable seniors in our community and in residential aged care facilities.
