Seniors Seasonal Walk - North West Bay River Track - 25 March

Join us for a guided Scenic Walk along the North West Bay River Track.

This seasonal walk is designed for people who typically cannot enjoy nature alone or need extra support to do so. We hope to introduce you to new reserves and trails through this program and encourage new friendships and connections.

Led by BJ from our Natural Areas and Biodiversity team, this walk offers more than just beautiful views - it's an opportunity to learn about local flora and fauna and share a savory snack with others in a friendly and welcoming environment.

Explore diverse landscapes from heathland and forests to a stunning white gum forest leading to a picturesque water’s edge with dolerite boulders and carved bedrock pools beneath sheer cliffs.

Location: meet at the car park at Sandfly Oval, 70 Sandfly Road, Sandfly which features parking and toilets. Drive in through the gates and park on the left near the starting point of the track.

Distance: 2.2km return

Access: gravel formal surface, then narrow bush track, some steps, undulating.

To ensure your comfort during our bush walk, we recommend bringing walking sticks, water, and feel free to bring a light foldable chair if standing for extended periods is challenging.

We will take regular breaks to rest and enjoy the surroundings.


A light snack will be provided.

Bookings are required for this event. To ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate, we kindly ask that participants book no more than two senior walks per year.
