Term 4 - Senior School Homework Support

What is it?
A quiet, supportive space for senior students to complete homework with guidance from friendly volunteers. Drop in to get help, stay on track with your studies, and build confidence in your learning.
When is it?
Our homework support program for senior school students runs every Monday afternoon from 4pm - 5.30pm at Fawkner Neighbourhood House. Dates for term 4 are:

Where is it?
Our program runs from Fawkner Neighourhood House at 79 Jukes Road, Fawkner, in CB Smith Reserve. It is the orange brick house located in between the skate park and the leisure centre.
Who can attend?
Students in years 7 - 12 who have permission from their parents.
How much is it?
This program is free. There is no cost for students to attend.
What to expect:
When you arrive, you’ll be welcomed by our friendly volunteers and staff. Grab a snack if you like, then make your way to our study room, where volunteers are ready to help. Take a seat, work on your homework at your own pace, and ask for assistance whenever you need it.
How can I join?
RSVP using the RSVP button below or call us on 9359 1824. You can sign up for a handful or all sessions. We ask you to do this to help us with planning and make sure that we're ready to support you.
Who runs the homework support program?
Our homework support program is supported by Michelle Sowey. She brings experience as an educational designer, facilitator, and writer with a strong commitment to equity in education. Michelle has previously led philosophical inquiry workshops for young people and developed co-curricular programs with a focus on critical thinking, collaborative learning, youth voice, and civic participation. She holds an Honours degree in Philosophy from UNSW and is completing a Master of Education at UNE.
