Sensory Integration: Some practical applications
Event description
Presented by two of our Occupational Therapists, Kites Children's Therapy would like to invite you to a community education session about Sensory Integration. This presentation is primarily designed for teachers, teachers aides, early childhood staff, support workers, and others working with multiple children.
During this education session, we will cover a range of OT strategies that can be used in the classroom for children who have difficulties with sensory processing.
Our subjects will include, but are not limited to:
- What is sensory integration?
- Why do children react to certain things in the ways they do?
- How can I know which strategies to use? (including environmental and task modifications)
The session is expected to run for 1 hour, with an additional 30 minutes for questions. Tea, coffee, and biscuits will be provided.
