Sēnsus: Kid’s Workshop - Cairns
Event description
Tank’s Artists in Residence offer an ‘explore your senses’ through Visual Art making in an exciting three-in-one workshop. Award-winning artists present ‘Sēnsus: To See, To Feel, To Hear’ diverse experiences inspired by the local landscape, on mixed-media, constructed textiles and abstract painting. Open to all abilities of children (5-16) to come explore, experiment and experience all the activities. Children to be supervised during the event.
10am - 12pm - please byo apron or old clothes and water bottle
To See:
Learn to see like an artist. Be inspired by shimmering light and deep dark shadows. Paint an abstract landscape through vivid colours, shapes and textures in gouache.
To Feel:
Create your own ‘Feel good’ textile artwork. Experiment by winding and weaving different materials, and incorporating images and text.
