Sept 2026 - North - Intermediate One Course - Peer Rope Melbourne
Description
Continue or embark on the next stage of your Shibari journey with Peer Rope Melbourne and acquire new skills through our Intermediate 1 Shibari Classes.
Every month, we will start a different series with a different teacher.
Intermediate classes are designed for those who have already obtained a solid foundation in rope bondage. Whether you participated in the Beginner 2 course at PRM, a previous Intermediate class or course with us or in other schools, and want to keep learning. In each class, we will learn a different tie, focusing on mastering its technique, aesthetics, and emotional connection. From traditional patterns to innovative variations, you will discover the beauty and power that lies within each knot.
In July classes will be held on Wednesday nights starting on Sept 2nd, from 7 PM to 9 PM,
THIS MONTH WE WILL BE FOCUSING ON Lower Body Ties
Your facilitators this month is the talented HandsomeLoaf
Mitch (he/him) has been tying since 2018, cultivating a shibari practice rooted in intention, control, and connection, shaped by a wide range of influences.
He approaches rope as a way to make emotion tangible - a space where tension reveals something honest, and authenticity can be explored and expressed.
As a guest teacher this month with Peer Rope Melbourne, he holds a steady, welcoming space, encouraging students to engage with rope as both a skill and a form of personal exploration.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions):
Q. What should I wear?
A. We suggest you wear something comfortable, ensuring ease of movement. For anyone wearing a bra, we recommend wearing one without the metal wire (like a sports bra). It could be painful if we practice a chest harness and you are the model.
Q: Do I need to bring my own ropes?
A: Yes. At this level you it is recommended you have a kit of 6-10 hanks of rope and safety shears. Rope supplies can be found here https://www.kinkdojo.com/shop
Q. Do I need a partner for these classes?
A. Yes. We do not teach self tying in this class. Ticket includes your model.
Q. What if I miss one of the classes?
A. If you know you will miss the first class, we recommend you join the next scheduled course.
If you miss one of the other 3 classes, then don't worry. Our teachers always review the main ties, taught in the previous session, at the beginning of each class, ensuring you stay on track with the material.
Q. I just ended my B2 course, but I don't feel ready for Intermediate 1. What are my options?
A. No worries! Feel free to rejoin Beginner 2 next month or book a private with one of our instructors to fast track your learning.
Also, each class/course is led by one of our exceptional teachers, and each of them features a unique teaching style and may introduce additional ties and styles, providing you with a well-rounded learning experience.
